Magic Kingdom Park
New! Magic Kingdom Park Hours Extended 11/9: Magic Kingdom Park will be extending operating hours on Sun, Nov 8. The park will open at 8:00am instead of 9:00am.
New! Create Custom MagicBands: Guests can now create a custom MagicBand at Magic Kingdom Park at the MagicBand on Demand station inside the Tomorrowland Power & Light Co. located near Space Mountain. Similar to the D-Tech on Demand options at Disney Springs and other locations, with MagicBand on Demand, Guests can create a custom MagicBand from eight color options and approximately 40 graphic choices. The MagicBands can also be printed with a name on the outside. Retail for a custom retail MagicBand is $21.95 while a personalized retail MagicBand is $29.95.
Reminder! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Events Begin Soon: Start planning for a marvelous gathering with family, friends and some familiar Disney faces. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party offers magic, cheer and enchantment for Guests of every age—it’s truly a time for wishes to come true! Held from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM at Magic Kingdom park, this annual yuletide event will take place in 2015 on the following dates:
- November 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20 and 29
- December 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 18
Reminder! Changes to Main Street U.S.A Show times: The show times for the Main Street Trolley Show and Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it! will be adjusted Oct 28, Nov 9, 19, 20, 24 and 25. On these dates, The Main Street Trolley show will use the Main Street fire truck and Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it! will occur at 12:30pm and 5:00pm.
New! Meet Stephen Twining at UK Pavilion: Stephen Twining of Twinings of London will meet Guests at the Tea Caddy in the UK Pavilion Oct 31 – Nov 1, 12 – 7pm.
New! Musical Group Ribab Fusion Debuts in Morocco: Ribab Fusion, a popular band from northern Africa, began performing in the Morocco pavilion at Epcot on October 21. Ribab Fusion celebrates Morocco’s Amazigh culture with everything from smooth grooves to high-energy funk, fusing the traditional sound of the single-stringed ribab with a contemporary, Afropop style. B’net Al Houwariyate gave their final performance October 18. This new group will perform now through January 2, 2016. More details about what’s to come in the future have not yet been provided.
New! Dates Announced for Holidays Around the World: Returning to Epcot next month is Holidays Around the World, where time-honored traditions come alive through the sights and sounds of the countries of World Showcase. For the 2015 holiday season, new live musical performances by American Music Machine are being added to the mix. American Music Machine will be rocking around the Fountain Stage, performing both modern and nostalgic holiday hits, including “White Christmas,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “All I Want for Christmas is You.”
Holidays Around the World has something for everyone! “Joyful! A Gospel Celebration of the Season” enlivens the Fountain Stage throughout the day, while the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs take us on a musical exploration of holiday traditions from across the Great White North in the Canada Pavilion. In Mexico, “Feliz Navidad” features colorful dancers and mariachis, who celebrate the holiday customs of Mexico in an interactive, musical performance, and the China Pavilion bursts to life with the vibrant Chinese Lion Dance, bringing good fortune and happiness to all in honor of major holidays such as the Lunar New Year and Lantern Festival.
Reminder! 20th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Now Open: Each fall, Epcot transforms for the annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival —where dozens of unique flavors and fun experiences unfold across the park. There are over Global Marketplaces where you can taste and sip small food plates and exotic drinks from all over the world. Eat to the Beat concerts bring you top names in music for free concerts (free with your Epcot admission). The Festival Center is the place to find cook book and bottle signings, culinary demonstrations and much more. This year the Festival runs Sep 25 – Nov 16!

New! Sorcerer Mickey Moved to New Location: Sorcerer Mickey has left the Backlot Tour area. He is now meeting with Guests in his new location near Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream.

Reminder! Water Buffalo Added to Maharajah Jungle Trek: Three water buffalo have been introduced to the Maharajah Jungle Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Named by a Cast Member, Rose, Dorothy and Blanche are enjoying the comfort of the grassy fields and brush. The three girls have developed into a close-knit group and like to follow each other everywhere they go. Guests might see them laying in a triangle with their backs to each other as they get used to their new home. This sitting position allows all three of them to be watching each side of the group while they continue to get acclimated to the space.

New! Pool Closed at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort: The Ranchos Village pool will be temporarily closed at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Nov 2-6.
New! 1900 Park Fare Brunch Added at Disney’s Grand Floridian: A unique dining experience will be added to 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort during Nov 22-28 and Dec 20-Jan 2, a brunch menu will be served with both breakfast and dinner items. The price for brunch is $23.99 per adults and $12.99 per child. This is not a character dining experience.
New! Victoria & Albert’s Recognized Again as Top US Restaurant: Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was again honored as one of the top restaurants in the United States in TripAdvisor’s 2015 Travelers’ Choice awards. It was rated No. 6 out of 25, and it remains to be is the only Florida restaurant on the famous list. Victoria & Albert’s also is a AAA Five-Diamond Award winner. The award-winning dining room recently added a new Chef’s Degustation Menu, a series of 10 small courses featuring some of its Chef’s favorite dishes. The seven-course Chef’s Tasting Menu remains, and the adjacent Queen Victoria Room offers a 10-course menu paired with exclusive wines from the restaurant’s impressive cellar.

New! Celebrity Chef Rick Bayless to Open New Restaurant at Disney Springs: Chef Rick Bayless, a six-time James Beard Foundation winner, announced he will open Frontera Fresco in summer 2016. Frontera Fresco will feature authentic Mexican specialties such as hand-crafted tortas, tacos, fresh-made guacamole and classic Mexican braised meat entrees, all prepared with natural, locally sourced ingredients. The table-service restaurant also will serve an extensive selection of margaritas, cocktails, craft beers and wine. It will be located in Town Center, and it will be nearly 6,000-square-foot venue with 200 seats.
New! Shop Disney Parks App News: The free Shop Disney Parks mobile app can be used to search, locate, and purchase thousands of merchandise items offered in Disney-operated retail stores at Walt Disney World Resort. This free app is available for iPhone and smartphones for Android. With a new limited time offer, Free shipping will be offered for now through November 22, 2015 on all Shop Disney Parks standard ground Home Delivery purchases. Also, now guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort can choose Resort Hotel Delivery, Park Gate Pick-Up or Home Delivery from the Delivery Options on the Review & Purchase screen. If you choose Resort Hotel Delivery on purchases, you need to have a current Disney Resort reservation linked in My Disney Experience. Resort Delivery is a delivery option for guests until 3:00 p.m. each day. Items will be ready for pick-up at your resort the following day after 12:00 p.m. If choosing Park Gate Pick-Up as a delivery option, you need to be physically present in a theme park and the item must be available for purchase in that park. Park Gate Pick-Up orders are ready for retrieval at Park Package Pick-Up locations three hours after purchase.
New! Orange Bird Merchandise Coming to Disney Parks: New home décor items featuring the Little Orange Bird will arrive at Disney Parks soon. The new items will include two small kitchen towels decorated with Orange Bird graphics, an Orange Bird coffee mug, small dish, and salt and pepper shakers. These items complement the previously released bowl, orange juice pitcher and small juice glasses. A new open edition retail MagicBand is coming this December to Walt Disney World, too. Once these items are released at Disney Parks, you may find select products using the free Shop Disney Parks app.
