Magic Kingdom Park
New! Skipper Canteen Now Open: The Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen opened on December 16 at Walt Disney World Resort. Just steps from the legendary Jungle Cruise attraction you can enjoy the bold, flavorful tastes of Asia, South America and Africa at this new 222-seat table-service restaurant staffed by the wisecracking crew of the Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. The Jungle Skipper Canteen touts an adventurous menu with some new and interesting dishes inspired by the exotic flavors of the rivers traveled on the Jungle Cruise. You can try head-on shrimp or sustainable fish collar, or stick with delicious, familiar tastes such as a grilled steak, pork tenderloin or chicken breast. Two non-alcoholic specialties will be served: the Punch Line Punch, with tropical fruit juice and mango puree (also available with a spiced rim for an extra zinger); and the Schweitzer Slush, with frozen apple juice and passion fruit topped with bursting green apple boba balls. The Disney Dining Plan is accepted. Reservations are not available at this time. It’s walk-up only as of now.
New! Additional Food & Beverage Offerings Dec. 19 – Jan. 2: During the busy holiday season, Magic Kingdom offers several extra food and beverage locations and menu items. The following will be available Dec. 19 – Jan.2.
- Diamond Horseshoe: Quick Service lunch (11 am – 3 pm); Table Service dinner (beginning at 4:30 pm)
- Market Street Sandwich Cart: Offering Italian-themed sandwiches and salads
- Storybook Circus Sandwich Cart: Offering sandwiches and salads
- Tomorrowland Terrace: Offering burgers
- Prince Eric’s Village Market: Offering pre-packages sandwiches, caprese cups and salads
- Westward Ho: Offering corn dogs
- Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe: Offering a southwest burger
- Turkey Legs will be available at Cool Ship, Frontierland Turkey Leg Wagon, Tomorrowland Turkey Leg Cart, Liberty Square Turkey Leg cart and Heritage House Turkey Leg Cart.
New! Holiday Entertainment at Magic Kingdom: The following entertainment offerings will occur daily December 19-31:

- Holiday Wishes (Fantasy in the Sky will be presented in addition to Holiday Wishes December 30-31)

Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade will return to Magic Kingdom January 1, at noon and 3:30pm through January 2. The final performance of A Frozen Holiday Wish is January 2, with Castle Dream Lights remaining in the park through January 12.
New! Princess Tiana Returns to the Glade: As of Dec. 13, Princess Tiana has returned to the Princess and the Frog character greeting location behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe.
Updated! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party News: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on Friday, December 18, 2015 is officially Sold Out. The only Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event with tickets available is December 17.
Reminder! Princess Aurora Temporarily Relocated: While Santa is visiting from the North Pole (now through Dec. 24), he will be meeting Guests in Town Square Courtyard. During his visit, Princess Aurora will meet with Guests near the castle wall in Fantasyland.
Reminder! Candlelight Processional Now at Epcot: America Gardens Theatre is once again filled with the beautiful sounds of the beloved Epcot holiday traditions – the Candlelight Processional. The show features the retelling the Christmas story while accompanied by a masterful orchestra and choir. The list of celebrity narrators for this week includes:

You can enjoy the Candlelight Processional three times each evening, 5:00, 6:45 and 8 p.m., from November 27 to December 30.
New! Givenchy Event at Plume et Palette in France: Guests who visit the Givenchy Boutique at Epcot Dec. 16-25 and purchase $100 or more will receive a complimentary gift as well as complimentary bottle engraving.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
New! Watch ‘Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular’ Live Online: “Symphony In The Stars: A Galactic Spectacular” fireworks show, will blast off at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on December 18 – and the Disney Parks Blog team will be there to live stream the first show for all of you. “Symphony In The Stars: A Galactic Spectacular” is a dazzling Star Wars-themed fireworks show that’s set to memorable music featured throughout the saga. The spectacular will be featured nightly at the park. Interested? Tune back in on Friday, December 18 at 11 p.m. EST. New! The Comedy Warehouse Holiday Special Returns Dec 19: “The Comedy Warehouse Holiday Special” is a hilarious, family-friendly improvisational holiday comedy show. Taking place in the Premiere Theater, the show will run daily Dec. 19 – Jan 3 at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
New! Star Wars Specialty Cupcakes Now Available: Three Star Wars themed cupcakes are available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Darth Vader chocolate peanut butter cupcake, BB-8 lemon cupcake with vanilla buttercream, and chocolate coconut Kashyyyk German chocolate cupcake. You can find the Star Wars themed cupcakes at Backlot Express and other quick-service locations throughout Hollywood Studios as well, including the ABC Commissary and Starring Rolls.
Reminder! Specialty Holiday Gingerbread Cupcakes: A new specialty cupcake is now offered at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – the gingerbread cupcake! This special cupcake will be available at ABC Commissary, Backlot Express, Fairfax Faire, Pizza Planet, Rosie’s All American Cae, Starring Rolls Cafe and Studio Catering Co. and Trolley Car Cafe. The cupcake is included in the Disney Dining plan and will be available through Jan. 4.

Reminder! African Painted Dogs on Kilimanjaro Safaris: A pack of six painted dogs are now on the savanna at Kilimanjaro Safaris. These rare animals are an endangered species. They have a unique appearance with large ears and multi-colored coat patterns. They are pack animals and operate as a family unit.
Reminder! Tarzan Meet and Greet Relocated: Tarzan has moved to the area near Island Mercantile, in the former Disney Vacation Club location.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
New! Disney’s Contemporary Resort Religious Services: For our Guests celebrating Christmas, the Walt Disney World Resort will host religious services on Friday, December 25, 2015 in the Fantasia Ballroom of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Parking is available at Contemporary Resort for Guests with a confirmed resort or dining reservation. Guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa should use Monorail Transportation provided to Contemporary Resort. All other Guests should be instructed to take a bus to Magic Kingdom Park and board the shuttle to Contemporary Resort. Shuttle service will begin at 7:00am. The service schedule will be as follows: Catholic Mass: 8:00am and 10:15am, Protestant Service: 9:00am.
New! Brunch at the Top Announced for Disney’s Contemporary Resort: A new Sunday brunch opens in the beautiful California Grill restaurant for daytime dining for the first time ever starting February 7th. The new Brunch at the Top is the perfect way to indulge on a leisurely Sunday – not quite breakfast, not quite lunch. Start the experience with an assortment of house-made breakfast pastries delivered to your table (think caramel apple Monkey bread, Tillamook Cheddar biscuit and cranberry scones pecan) with house-made jam and orange blossom honey butter. Then head to the show kitchen for small tastes such as house smoked orange honey ham, deviled Lake Meadow Naturals eggs, Greek yogurt with vanilla-scented granola and fresh berries, kale and apple salad, baby iceberg wedge with Cherrywood bacon and avocado-buttermilk Ranch dressing, hardwood smoked salmon, California rolls with jumbo lump crabmeat, spicy tuna rolls and shrimp tempura with orange drizzle and mango. (That’s just a sampling.) Then choose your next course from choices like Sweet Potato Pancakes, Shrimp and Grits, Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Soft Poached Eggs (or several more!), which will be delivered tableside. If there’s room, share sweet mini-desserts, macarons and chocolate truffles while enjoying the beautiful skyline out the floor-to-ceiling windows. Cost is $80, $48 ages 3 to 11. Reservations open December 16.
New! Reservations Open for Countdown to Midnight: NYE 2016 at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club: Ring in 2016 in style! The convention center at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort will play host to a progressive 3-in-1 New Year’s extravaganza. Enjoy an interactive comedy reunion at Adventurer’s Club, then head over to Club Live to rock out with a 9-piece dance band. At Club Vinyl, a 7-piece band is remixing today’s hits with steamy jazz. Don’t forget to grab your New Year’s hats and tiaras for the countdown to midnight—complete with a balloon drop and confetti cannons—to toast to the New Year in a keepsake champagne glass. Appetizers, gourmet small bites, and dessert are included. Beer, wine, and mixed drinks are also included for guests over 21. Reservations are now open to Walt Disney World Resort guests, and can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Admission is $300 per person—tax and gratuity included.

New! Typhoon Lagoon Closed 12/18 – 12/19: Due to forecasted low temperatures, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will be closed on Friday, Dec. 18 and Saturaday, Dec. 19.
New! The Ganachery Now Open at Disney Springs: The Ganachery, a new premium chocolate boutique created by Disney, showcases the art of chocolate making at Disney Springs. Located in The Landing, this shop features 16 different kinds of handcrafted ganache (a rich mixture of chocolate and cream) infused with exotic spices and fruit flavors from around the world. The shop’s custom dark and milk chocolate blends are made from the finest fair trade ingredients available in the world. An expert team of Disney Chocolatiers use old-world techniques to make fresh ganache in the shop daily. The Chocolatiers also teach Guests how to properly savor chocolate and select treats suited to their taste. The Ganachery at Disney Springs is open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30am to 10:30pm, and Friday through Saturday from 10:30am to 11:00pm.
New! Memory Maker Price Change: Disney PhotoPass has announced new prices for Memory Maker products. The pre-arrival advanced purchase price of Memory Maker, which does not include photos taken within three days of purchase, is now $149 (from $169). The new prices for the standard Memory Maker, which can be used immediately is now $169 (from $199).
December 18 – 20: Mike Kungl will appear December 18 – 20 from 2 – 5 p.m., each day at Watto’s Grotto at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Not able to make it? Mike will appear later in the day, each day, from 7 – 9 p.m. at D-Street in Disney Springs West Side.
