Walt Disney World Theme Parks
Magic Kingdom Park
New! Breakfast to Continue at Be Our Guest Restaurant: Originally introduced as a test, breakfast is now a permanent offering in Beast’s Castle in the Be Our Guest Restaurant. Reservations can be made starting on August 5 for dates October 4 and beyond. Effective Oct 4th, the price will be $21.99 plus tax for adults and $13.99 plus tax for children ages 3-9 years. Due to popularity of Be Our Guest restaurant, reservations are strongly recommended.
New! Characters From Cinderella in a New Location: Drizella, Anastasia, Lady Tremaine and the Fairy Godmother will move to new meeting locations in Fantasyland. Guests can now meet them at the castle walls in between Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
New! Snow White and Mary Poppins Character Meetings: Now through Aug 19th, Snow White and Mary Poppins will appear in the West Plaza Gardens. They will appear here periodically and may also still use their former meeting locations too.
Updated! Adjusted times for Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party: Due to work on Main Street, U.S.A, Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! will be presented at 12:30 and 5:40 p.m. on the following dates: August 3, Aug 4, Aug 10, Aug 11 and Aug 31. Also during these dates, the Main Street Trolley Show will use the Main Street Fire Truck.
Reminder! Dream Along with Mickey Show Temporarily Closed: Now through Aug. 19, Dream Along with Mickey will have no performances. This show is normally held on the Castle stage.
Reminder! Garden Grill to Serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner This Fall: Starting Nov. 8, Guests can enjoy Character dining at Garden Grill all day long. Served family style and all-you-care-to-enjoy, the menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner are inspired by the garden-grown theme of The Land. What’s on the menu? Look for breakfast favorites like biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, Mickey waffles, and their signature item, Chip’s Sticky Bun Bake. At lunch, look for your all-you-care-to-enjoy favorites from the dinner menu, like “Living with the Land” Harvest-inspired Farmer’s Salad, which uses greens from the attraction, and more!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
New! Idina Menzel Visits Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Tony Award-winning actress and singer Idina Menzel visited the set of “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Idina shares her thoughts on the pop-culture phenomenon “Frozen,” her “special” relationship with a Queen named Elsa and how excited she is to be a part of something so unique and special, especially for young girls.
Reminder! Ice Palace Boutique Opens July 26: The Ice Palace Boutique will join Frozen Summer Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting July 26. This winter-themed salon gives guests ages 3-12 a magical transformation in a flurry of “Frozen” fun. The Ice Palace Boutique will be located on Commissary Lane across from ABC Commissary in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In this location, guests can purchase select packages where families can also join in the “Frozen” fun. Additional party members can enjoy the exclusive Ice Palace Café, an immersive “Frozen”-themed café with included snacks while they wait for their Anna or Elsa to undergo the frosty makeover. The party will also get reserved seating at one show of “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” at Hyperion Theater. There are 3 different Anna or Elsa-inspired packages ranging from $75 to $240 per child. Plus, there’s an Olaf-inspired package for with a glitter hairstyle and tee shirt for $19.99.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Reminder! Early Entry Test Extended: Guests will be able to enter the Oasis area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom up to 30 minutes prior to the published park opening on most days. During this additional time in the park, Guests can make FastPass+ selections, rent strollers or wheelchairs and receive help from Cast Members to make the most of their day in the park. Attractions, shows and other experiences available within Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be available after the published park opening time, typically 9 a.m. This test will continue into August.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
New! Flying Fish Restaurant Refurbishment in 2016: Flying Fish Cafe at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort will undergo refurbishment from February 2016 through Fall 2016. The restaurant will be closed during this time.
New! Sassagoula River Cruise Testing Direct Service to Marketplace: Aug 2-8 from 5-11pm, Sassagoula River Cruise is testing direct service to the Marketplace Dock at the Downtown Disney Area from each resort at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort.
New! Beer Tasting at The Wave… Lounge Ending: The Wave Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will no longer offer complimentary sampling of organic beers. The beer tasting previously was held at 3pm on Saturdays.
Walt Disney World Resort – General
New! Live Entertainment at Downtown Disney /Disney Springs: In a typical week, up to twenty different acts take the stage, performing roughly 300 sets. Whether you fancy freestyle rap, delight to the notes of the didgeridoo, or prefer to sway to the sounds of a sultry saxophone, chances are, you can find it at Downtown Disney. At the Marketplace, performances start at 12:30 p.m. daily near Dockside Margaritas. On most evenings, the West Side comes alive with musical flair by 6:30 p.m. No matter what your style – classical, Latin rock, or Top 40 tunes – it’s there!
Reminder! Package Storage Test at Downtown Disney: Now through Aug. 9, Downtown Disney will offer complimentary package storage, allowing Guests carrying large merchandise bags to continue their day at Downtown Disney hands-free. Greeters and Guest Relations Cast Members will assist Guests carrying large purchases, storing them at the Marketplace and West Side Guest Relations locations during regular operating hours. During this test, package storage will be available Fridays-Sundays from 2-6 p.m.

August 6 – 17: Representatives from Precious Moments dolls will be on hand for the release of some of their newest dolls, among other fan favorites. Meet the representatives and see the dolls throughout the day, each day, at their new location, Marketplace Fun Finds in Downtown Disney Marketplace. Tip: Artist & Doll Designer Linda Rick will be on hand for a special appearance and signing Aug. 8 – 9.
August 6 – 9: Artist William Silvers will be on hand for a special appearance and signing of his newest releases, August 6 – 9 from 12 – 8 p.m., each day, at Art of Disney in Epcot. Not able to make it? William will return for additional signing opportunities August 13 – 16 from 1 – 9 p.m., each day, at Art of Disney in Downtown Disney Marketplace.
August 8: Meet artist Jasmine Becket-Griffith who will be on hand for a special artist showcase and signing from 4 – 7 p.m. in WonderGround Gallery at Marketplace Co-Op in the Downtown Disney Marketplace.
