Magic Kingdom Park
Reminder! Temporary Changes to Parades and Shows: Some Magic Kingdom entertainment offerings will be impacted certain dates throughout spring. The Main Street Trolley Show and Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it! will be adjusted May 31. On these dates and Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it! will be presented at 12:30 and 5:40.
New! Experience the classic Soarin’ at Epcot for a limited time starting May 27: Epcot Guests will have one more chance to hang-glide across snow-capped mountains and along California’s rocky shorelines when Soarin’ reopens on Friday, May 27. A new film, Soarin’ Around the World, will debut at Epcot and at Disney California Adventure on June 17 following its world premiere at Shanghai Disneyland, but before it does, this popular attraction will reopen with the classic film enhanced by its newly updated digital screens and projection system.
New! Sounds Like Summer Concert Series Starts June 5: Get ready for another rocking rendezvous—the fun begins at America Gardens Theatre in June with the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series. Featuring renditions of songs from Boston and the Eagles to covers of classics by Tina Turner, Bruce Springsteen and the Bee Gees, Sounds Like Summer is a cover-band blast from the past that’s fun for the whole family. The summer concerts kick off with Don’t Look Back – A Tribute to the Boston on June 5 to June 11, 2016.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
New! Hours Extended Select Days This Summer: Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be extending it’s hours on the following dates this summer – June 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30 and July 2, 2016. On these dates, park closing has changed from 9:00pm to 10:00pm and fireworks have been added at 9:45pm.
New! Preferred Parking Test in Progress: As of May 22, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is testing a preferred parking option. This new preferred parking will enable Guests to park closer to the entrance of the theme parks for an additional $15. At Hollywood Studios, preferred parking is in the Stage Lot.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Night Experiences Debut at Memorial Day Weekend: Guests can now enjoy a plethora of new experiences at Disney’s Animal Kingdom that started Memorial Day Weekend. The Tree of Life has begun its nighttime awakenings after the sun goes down. The park also hosts two new parties, Harambe Wildlife Parti and Discovery Island Carnivale, as well as the new “The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic” water show, which brings the tale of Baloo and Mowgli to Discovery River each night. Guests are now be able to enjoy many of the park’s existing attractions in the evening hours for the very first time. Kilimanjaro Safaris is open for guests to get a glimpse of the savanna’s animal occupants as the sun goes down, and of course guests can rediscover favorites like Expedition Everest and Primeval Whirl in the dark. The park hours have been extended and FastPass+ plans can be made. Two new F&B locations, Tiffins restaurant and Nomad Lounge, have also open their doors.

New! Pangani Forest Exploration Trail Name Change: Pangani Forest Exploration Trail’s name has changed to to Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail (effective May 27). This is only a name change. Guests can still expect to see some of their favorite animal species including hippos, meerkats, zebras and more along the trail.
New! Tiffins Menu Released: The newest Disney signature restaurant – Tiffins at Disney’s Animal Kingdom features cuisine and beverages from places that inspired the creation of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Walt Disney Imagineering describes the interior as “a gallery you can dine in with artwork that is a direct result of travels to Africa, Asia and South America.” Open for both lunch and dinner, Tiffins is situated near Pizzafari on Discovery Island. Adjacent to Tiffins, Nomad Lounge features waterfront views in addition to hand-crafted cocktails with African, Asian and South American flavors; beers, and sustainable wines from those regions, plus specialty non-alcoholic beverages and small bites. Here’s a look at the menu for both Tiffins and Nomad Lounge.

Reminder! Memorial Day Beach Party at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: Take part in a retro beach party on Memorial Day—Monday, May 30. There will be music, games, activities and special offerings. The party will take place on the beach from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on both dates.
New! Gone Mad Parties Coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: Curious food & beverage offerings will be available during the showing of Wishes nighttime spectacular. The Gone Mad Party will be hosted every Wednesday in June, from 8:30–10:30 p.m. on the outdoor patio near Gasparilla Island Grill. There is no charge for Guests to attend.

New! Disney Springs Guest Relations Has Moved: Disney Springs Guest Relations is now located at the Welcome Center in Town Center. Guest Relations is no longer available in the Marketplace or West Side.
New! Lilly Pulitzer and TROPHY ROOM Open at Disney Springs: The opening of Town Center was less than ten days ago, but already two new additions have opened their doors. Lilly Pulitzer is a light, bright, airy space featuring a treasure trove of playful prints. With apparel and accessories done in the signature “Lilly” style, every nook of the boutique pays homage to its Palm Beach roots. TROPHY ROOM is a sleek space showcasing ultra-cool sneakers and exclusive merchandise. This first-of-its-kind location — founded by Marcus Jordan, a University of Central Florida Grad, and the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan — was inspired by the real-life trophy room of his father.
New! ‘Speak Like A Whale Day’ June 11 at Disney Parks: On Saturday, June 11, 2016 Disney Parks will celebrate Speak Like a Whale Day. Taking a cue from everyone’s favorite forgetful fish, Dory, and her new friends Bailey, a beluga whale, and Destiny, a nearsighted whale shark, guests can learn to speak the language while taking part in some whale-sized fun. Guests can celebrate in a number of ways:
- Guests at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida will receive a complimentary button to celebrate the day on June 11 (while supplies last).
- At Disney Springs, families can dive into “undersea” themed activities, including a live DJ, games and giveaways. Young guests can attend “Whale Speak University” and give speaking the language a try.
- At The Seas with Nemo & Friends in Epcot, guests can learn about the real-life counterparts of the characters from the film and see them in their massive 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium home. Experts from Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment Team will be on hand throughout the day to help guests find Dory and her friends and get a closer look at their world.
- Dory and some of her new friends from Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory” have joined Crush at the Turtle Talk with Crush attraction at Epcot. Guests can meet Destiny the whale shark, Bailey the beluga whale and Hank the “septopus.”
Reminder! Kristoff & Olaf Host Frozen Games At Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park: Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is now hosting to the inaugural Frozen Games. The Winter Games Committee has taken advantage of the freak snowstorm over Central Florida and will host an impromptu sporting event known as The Frozen Games through Aug 21. They’ve even invited Kristoff and Olaf to lead teams of guests in a day full of fun “Frozen” activities, before the warm sun melts the snow away. Guests visiting the waterpark can to join “Team Kristoff” or “Team Olaf” and participate in a variety of activities, including Ice Pail Relays, a Snowball Toss to Ski Pole Limbo and Slide Races. Olaf and Kristoff will join the Winter Games Committee members in the games’ Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and will give updates throughout the games to report on their team’s achievements. The “Frozen” Games will be an all-day event that guests can sign up for when they arrive at the park entrance. All activities are included with regular admission to Blizzard Beach.
