Walt Disney World Theme Parks
Magic Kingdom Park
New! Magic Kingdom Character Changes: Guests visiting Princess Fairytale Hall are now able to meet Cinderella and Rapunzel separately – each alongside another visiting princess. Guests can now meet Princess Tiana and Princess Aurora at Princess Fairytale Hall too. Anna, Elsa, Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen also appear in Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade and the Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire castle show. Snow White will continue greeting Guests at the front of the Park, but will be moving to the Town Square Courtyard next to City Hall. Finally, Daisy Duck will be leaving her home in Town Square, but will continue to greet Guests in Storybook Circus at Pete’s Silly Sideshow.
New! More Walk-in Availability at The Plaza Restaurant Coming Soon: The Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park will have more availability for walk-in Guests starting July 17. Advance reservations will be offered from 11:00am to 12:00pm, but Guests should visit the restaurant to inquire about availability for the remainder of the day.
Reminder! Temporary Changes to Parades and Shows: Some Magic Kingdom entertainment offerings will be impacted certain dates throughout spring. The Main Street Trolley Show and Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it! will be adjusted June 27. On this date and Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it! will be presented at 12:30 and 5:40.
New! Frozen Ever After is Now Open at Norway Pavilion: In this new attraction, you’ll board a boat in Arendelle, and set off into a world of “Frozen” fun. It’s a song-filled journey that includes familiar backward and forward plunges down short water falls on your journey to the ice palace for a royal celebration with Queen Elsa and Princess Anna and friends.
New! Shanghai Disney Resort Display at China Pavilion: House of the Whispering Willows gallery at the China pavilion is hosting “Inside Shanghai Disney Resort,” an exciting first look at Disney’s unique new international destination. The gallery showcases exclusive artwork and props, as well as a look at the classic and cutting-edge attractions within Shanghai Disneyland’s six lands of fantasy and thrilling adventure. The exhibit also illustrates how elements of Chinese culture were woven into the fabric of the resort. Walt Disney Imagineers traveled across China seeking inspiration for Shanghai Disneyland, its two hotels, and the Disneytown shopping district. The result is an authentically Disney experience that remains distinctly Chinese.
Reminder! Sounds Like Summer Concert Series Started June 5: Get ready for another rocking rendezvous—the fun begins at America Gardens Theatre in June with the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series. Featuring renditions of songs from Boston and the Eagles to covers of classics by Tina Turner, Bruce Springsteen and the Bee Gees, Sounds Like Summer is a cover-band blast from the past that’s fun for the whole family. The summer concerts for the upcoming week include:
- June 25-July 1: Simply Tina – A Tribute to Tina Turner
- July 2-9: Stayin’ Alive – A Tribute to the Bee Gees
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
New! Park Hours Extended, Fireworks and Fantasmic! Shows Added on Select Days in July: Disney’s Hollywood Studios has made the updates to park hours and scheduled shows on select dates throughout the month of July. On July 1, a second Fantasmic! show has been added at 10:30pm. On July 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9, 2016, the fireworks show time changed from 9:15pm to 9:30pm. On July 6, 2016, park closing time has changed from 9:30pm to 10:00pm, fireworks show time changed from 9:15pm to 9:30pm, and a second Fantasmic! has been added at 10:30pm. On July 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 23, 26 and 30, park closing time has changed from 9:00pm to 9:30pm and the fireworks show time changed from 9:15pm to 9:30pm. On July 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 27, 28, 29 and 31, park closing time has changed from 9:00pm to 10:00pm, fireworks show time has changed from 9:15pm to 9:30pm and a second Fantasmic! show has been added at 10:30pm.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Reminder! The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic Now Open: “The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic,” a new musical inspired by the blockbuster live-action film “The Jungle Book,” debuted over the weekend at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This limited-engagement nighttime offering immerses guests in a retelling of the adventure of Mowgli and friends at the brand new Discovery River theater in the Asia section of the park. The show features dozens of colorful performers that appear on the water and surround the audience in song and visual artistry. Massive curtains of water, illuminated with imagery from film serve as the backdrop to the show, as Bagheera and other favorite characters from “The Jungle Book” take us on a journey through the jungle.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
New! Port Orleans Resort French Quarter Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Food Court Refurbishment: Beginning July 11, Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory food court will be closed for future enhancements. An alternative dining experience will be available adjacent to the lobby and Scat Cat’s Lounge. This location will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring Guest favorites such as Mickey waffles, bounty platters, French toast, jambalaya, gumbo, po-boy sandwiches, other hot and cold entrees and the famous beignets. A selection of grab ‘n’ go meals also will be available for purchase.

Reminder! Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Now Open in New Location: Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney Springs has moved to a new location in the Marketplace near Once Upon A Toy. The new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is themed as a country parlor and includes an expanded salon, uniquely designed photo room and new interactive elements throughout the Boutique.
June 30 – July 4: Meet renowned international artist Larry Dotson from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., each day at Art of Disney and add some of his latest pieces to your collection.
June 29 – July 4: As you travel around World Showcase, be sure to make a quick stop at Plume et Palette in the France Pavilion where you’ll find the latest releases from Givenchy.
